Q: Can I drive with the Tailgate Partymate on the back of my vehicle?
A: YES! The unit can ride right behind your vehicle. Just make sure the arms are securely locked into place before driving.
Q: I have a standard 2” hitch, will the Tailgate Partymate fit on my vehicle?
A: Yes! It is designed to fit any standard 2” receiver hitch
Q: I have a 1.25” hitch, how can I put the Tailgate Partymate on my vehicle?
A: There are 1.25” to 2” adapters available at most major auto parts stores such as Napa, Kragen or AutoZone.
Q: Is it illegal to cover up my license plate with the Tailgate Partymate?
A: In most cases the answer is yes (please check your state’s law on this). For added convenience we have included a license plate mounting bracket with all of the units to ensure you are in compliance with state law if necessary.
Q: I have an SUV will the Tailgate Partymate work for me?
A: Absolutely! The Tailgate Partymate is ideal for SUV’s as it adds that extra real estate for you BBQ and hold all of your tailgate items. No tailgate? No problem!
Q: Can I lower my tailgate or raise my lift door with the Tailgate Partymate mounted on the back?
A: YES! Simply swivel the tables away from the rear of your vehicle and lower your tailgate or raise your lift door.
Q: Does the Tailgate Partymate come in team colors?
A: Currently no, unless of course your team colors are yellow and black! The TGPM is made of high quality steel and aluminum and in certain cases fans have changed the colors to match their teams.
Q: What’s the best way to clean my Tailgate Partymate?
A: Because of the high quality construction and rustproof powder coating, simply hose it off when you’re finished with it—it doesn’t get any easier than that!
Q: How much weight can I put on each table?
A: Each table has a maximum recommended weight of 30 lbs. per table. Place the heaviest items in the center of the table as this is the most stable. The tables are not meant to be sat on, leaned on or change baby diapers on…use common sense!
Q: Some hitches are taller than others, can I adjust the Tailgate Partymate up or down to suit my needs?
A: Yes! The Tailgate Partymate is fully adjustable up and down with the pull pin located on the center shaft. Adjust as you see it and make sure the pin is tight when finished
